I am a little late starting a blog for Hudson, but here is the quick version of life with him so far...
Hudson Pierce was born September 3, 2008 (on his Daddy's birthday!) at 5:01pm. He was 7 pounds 13.5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Doug was and still is so proud that his firstborn son was born on his birthday! He came out face up and had a HUGE bruise on his head from sitting in my pelvic region during his long delivery (I pushed for almost 3 hours). We took him home on the 5th and he had to go back into the hospital for jaundice and stayed in the NICU for 3 days. It broke our hearts to not have our little man at home. He came home perfectly healthy and we have been enjoying him so much ever since! He is now over 5 months old and has hit some milestones along the way! He started smiling at 5 weeks old, sleeping through the night at 10 weeks old (not consistently though until about 3 months), laughing at 7 weeks and then really giggling at 3 months- which is the cutest thing ever! He then started rolling over around 4 months and has been lazily doing it ever since! At our last doctor's appointment, which was at 4 months, he weighed in at 16 pounds 8 ounces and 25 inches long. He is getting so big and it is fun to watch and a little sad too!
